ESB Networks Replacement Project Finglas

Two weeks ago, after thorough site investigation works in January, we kicked off the Finglas Merville 38kV FFC replacement project in collaboration with ESB Networks.

This upgrade initiative entails the replacement of approximately 2km of aging power cables along the R135. Given that the existing cables have surpassed 60 years in service, the installation of new cables is crucial to ensuring the ongoing reliability of electricity supply in the Finglas Merville area.

We're on track to complete these essential works within a span of 6 months, contributing significantly to ESB's objective of replacing all fluid-filled cables by 2035.

Our involvement encompasses a range of critical tasks, from trench excavations to jointing works and securing temporary road opening licenses.
