Roscommon Town Main Drainage Scheme

An event was held today to mark the commencement of the Roscommon Town Main Drainage Scheme.

The event was led by the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Darragh O’Brien TD and supported by Cathaoirleach of Roscommon County Council, Councillor Joe Murphy and representatives from Irish Water, Roscommon County Council, GMC Utilities Group and Tobin Consulting Engineers.
The €20 million project will reduce the risk of sewer flooding in Roscommon Town and improve water quality in the River Jiggy and River Hind.

Representatives from GMC Utilities Group and Tobin Consulting Engineers discussed the Roscommon Town Main Drainage Scheme with Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Darragh O’Brien after he turned the official sod on the project today.
