This is the largest telecommunications project ever undertaken by the Government of Ireland with approximately 146,000 kilometres of fibre to connect over half a million homes, covering 96% of Ireland’s land mass.

SECTO|GMC mobilised in the Cavan Deployment Area on the 24th of August with upwards of sixty highly skilled operatives working on the network at any one time. This deployment Area consists of approximately 600km of fibre optic cable installation through both underground and overhead infrastructure.
The Cavan phase of the works are due for completion in December 2020.
