Woodbrook/Shanganagh Project Update

GMC Utilities are thrilled to bring you the latest update on the Woodbrook Project, a critical endeavour aimed at enhancing wastewater infrastructure in the community.

Project Overview:

The Woodbrook/Shanganagh Project is a monumental upgrade initiative designed to meet the growing needs of the community.

This project involves the design and construction of a new wastewater pipeline, which will seamlessly connect to a previously laid 1.15km section of pipeline originating from the new Woodbrook Wastewater Pumping Station (WWPS).

The Woodbrook/Shanganagh project is intended to transfer wastewater flow to the existing Shanganagh Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), thereby facilitating an additional Population Equivalent of approximately 15,390 people, equivalent to approximately 5,700 housing units.

Progress So Far:
We are delighted to report that significant progress has been made on the Woodbrook/Shanganagh Project as we have successfully installed 700 meters of pipeline, marking a significant milestone in the project's timeline.

Current Focus:
Our team has now progressed to Corbawn Drive. We are working diligently to minimize disruptions to the local community and ensure that the project proceeds smoothly.

Community Impact:
The Woodbrook/Shanganagh Project is not just about infrastructure; it's about connecting communities and safeguarding the environment. By expanding our wastewater capabilities, we are preparing for future growth while maintaining our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Thank you for your continued support and patience as we work to complete this project.
