GMC Utilities is proud to support the Lighthouse charity in their important work to advocate for better mental health in the construction industry.
Research shows that 10 people a week in Ireland take their own lives – 8 out of these 10 are Men. The Construction Sector is 95% male. Feedback shows that workers in the Construction sector are part of these statistics.
Today is an opportunity to focus on these matters and begin to change the mindset that men don’t deal with matters of the mind.
Today, GMC will be delivering TBT’s on Mental Health Welfare and Wellbeing in Construction and will be launching the Construction Industry Helpline App across all sites and issuing Posters and pocket cards to all direct employees and sub-contractors.
